John Juzek c 1965.
$2,200
Recently restored. Set up for Pizzacato playing.
This bass has an incredible growly low end and an iconic tone for Jazz as currently set up. Not whiny, just deep growly, full and even all through the range.
This must have been the cheapest model Metropolitan music sold under the Juzek name and this one needed a whole lot of love after its tenure in the New York City school system.
We did some inside work with the top off, replaced quite a bit of edging outside the purfling, and completely revarnished the top to match the original back and sides finish.
42 3/4" string length D neck
