We put this together as a  3/4 size removable neck travel bass from German made parts that were about to be thrown in a dumpster after a well known NY area luthier retired. 

It’s a punchy bass ,loud and well balanced for pizzicato work or whatever you want to throw at it.  Has good growl and easy to play all over. String length 41-1/8” , extended range high quality German machined fingerboard. (from the famous Black Forest whence comes all German ebony) It’s lightweight and a reasonable size.  One bolt and an inside trapped nut secures the neck.  Current strings are D’addario Zyex.
