pattern German bass.
This is a carved spruce and maple solo sized bass of the familiar Wifer/Juzek pattern so much admired by American jazz bassists.
It was made circa 1960 possibly in the Miesel shop.
The condition is very good, we took the top off to properly repair a couple of small cracks and did a complete set up including fingerboard planing and a new bridge and soundpost. It's a lovely instrument with a nice spirit varnish and decent ebony fingerboard. the string length is 42-1/2" with a d neck
