The 190 is Shen’s lowest price large orchestral size “Rogeri” model.  This is a “semi hybrid” with a carved spruce top, solid willow sides and a flat laminated back. A combination that has proved very stable and yields a very powerful and beautiful sounding instrument. If the bass is not too large for you with it’s deep ribs and generous upper bout it certainly is a top choice for tonal bang for the buck. I have rented many of these to Jazz artists on tour from Europe, Latin America and other parts of the US, during our local Jazz festivals and concerts, and every time I get very glowing reviews form the bassists.  String length is 41-1/2”  MSRP is $4,200
